Travel Award Information
ICORR 2005 Travel Award Recipients
This
section refers to ALL award categories.
Awardees
will be notified in April 2005 and will receive a check for the appropriate
amount upon arrival to the conference. Each awardee is still responsible for their
own registration fee. Please be advised
early registration ends April 15, 2005.
Consumer Travel Awards
A limited number
of travel awards are also available for consumers of rehabilitation
robotics technology (e.g. individuals with neurological disabilities
who are not researchers). Each award will be $1000. To apply,
by online submission*, individuals need to submit a letter describing how they are a consumer of
rehabilitation robotics technology and why they wish to attend the conference.
Here are examples of
this letter.
Student Travel Awards
Graduate students and post-doctoral fellows can apply for a limited number
of travel awards to help support the cost of attending ICORR 2005. North
American travel awards will be $1000 and International (i.e. outside of the
U.S. and Canada) travel awards will be $1500. Only students and
post-doctoral fellows that submit a paper for presentation at ICORR 2005 as
first author will be considered for travel awards.
The Awards Committee strongly encourages women, minorities, and individuals
with disabilities to apply for the travel awards - as funds have been set
aside to increase participation of underrepresented groups at the
conference.
To apply, please select the travel award
category when submitting your paper through
online submission *. At the end of your paper, you need to
append a letter from your graduate/post-doctoral advisor indicating that you
are a graduate student or post-doctoral fellow. The letter also needs to
verify that you qualify for female, minority, and/or disability status, if
appropriate.
Here are examples of this letter.
